An October Surprise No More

Good evening, Friends,

I start this newsletter talking about what is no longer an October Surprise – the strength, frequency, and “later and later” timing of the hurricanes we experience in Florida and the rest of the region. First and foremost, I am wishing the best and praying for everyone and their friends and family that have been affected by the last two hurricanes. I have contributed to the EV Cares campaign, and if you haven't found your own way, I ask that you please visit their GoFundMe initiative and consider supporting. As much as we talk about it in the context of real estate, hurricane resiliency also comes through spirit, so let's help our region stabilize, recover and rebuild. 

The family of one of my colleagues, Sofia, was not so fortunate. Her mother, Nancy Carrero, lost everything and is currently displaced. Our shop is actively helping raise money to help her recovery, and if you’re feeling generous, I greatly appreciate you joining us with a contribution.

REIMAGINE Thought of the Week

Who wants to talk about toilets? Not many. But I love the Toto NEOREST toilets and placed some in my 7233 Los Pinos renovation project above. No joke, I was including the subject this week, and the WSJ also ran a story covering the subject (great minds think alike, right?). When so many things in the house have taken leaps in home tech, the toilet was long forgotten, then some clunky tech was introduced, and now they look and work like pieces of bathroom art. Your family and guests will thank you, and there's no doubt they'll add some property value to your home or investment project (their costs have held firm for years). Don't pay retail on these and I'll be happy to help you out.
